Bali - Intro
Uluwatu temple - Bali
Mt. Batur - Bali
Goa Gajah - Bali
Taman Ayun Temple - Bali
Tanah lot Temple - Bali
Today
was the last day of my visit in Bali. In morning we had our breakfast &
checked out our hotel leaving our luggage in the hotel only & left for the
sightseeing.
First
we went to a handicraft factory where we saw the weavers spinning cloths & making
a variety of handmade stuffs from the handmade cloth the woven themselves. One
can choose any design and ask for on the spot design on the cloth or T-shirts,
tops and other dress material.
The
Batuan temple is located beside the main road from Denpasar to Ubud. On one
side of road there is temple parking area along with a covered platform from
where you get entry ticket for the temple and other side is the temple.

The
entry charge for the temple is Rp. 5000/-.
It is must to wear a sarong before entering the
temple which is available free of cost which must be returned after visiting
the temple. Tourists can donate any amount for the maintenance of the temple.
The
temple is beautifully designed with Balinese architecture & there is high
entrance Balinese gate called “Kori Agung”
which is flanked by many statues.

Deletewonderful post
ReplyDeleteThanks for liking post !
DeleteThe temple looks beautiful. But why sarong? In Thailand if you are wearing a short dress they ask yo to wear a sarong, any idea?
ReplyDeleteSarong is like wrap on only. Yes you are not allowed to visit any temple in short dresses .
DeleteThanks for going through the post and leaving comment.
Beautiful architecture, especially the entrance gate, its so unique and beautiful. And loved that handicraft factory tour, I would like to be there sometime..
ReplyDeleteThanks Meghana for going through the post and liking it.
DeleteSeems like an amazing experience.... beautiful pics too. In south Indian temples too they insist on Men wearing lungi or veshti and women a sari
ReplyDeleteIn some of the temples in India males are not allowed to wear top & they are supposed to wear Dhothi only , but in Bali what ever u wear above that u have to just wrap on the sarong.
DeleteVery beautiful pictures. Thanks for telling us the Sarong part. I guess it has something similar with some temples in south India. The reason they say is, stitched cloth is not allowed. Since sarong or dhoti or lungi are not stitched, they're okay with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks ur appreciation !
